assumptions

  • There is a list of a unpublished and/or published documents that a user wants to edit.

actions

  • Create wireframes high or low fidelity and/or a task flow for how a user will complete the task of upload to finish
  • Document necessary warning messages and or error messages
  • Display the status of the document (editable or not) so that a user knows what phase their document is in and if it is currently viewable / un-publishing / published document.
  • Create and document definitions and plain-language around workflow phase labels
  • Validate flow(s) with teams
  • Determine what workflow phases are visible to the user, filterable, and what they are called.
  • Determine what columns are displayed
  • Research How would someone determine which Alphabetical? Policy Issuance date? Workflow status?

Outstanding Questions

  • Does a user need to distinguish between edit and clean up?
  • Do we need a "visible" field which will show policies that are visible on the library?

Currently the workflow phases are:

  • No document [display]
  • Cleanup [combine with edit and call it _________ (needs clean up? something?)]
  • Edit [combine with clean up and call _____]
  • Review (is actually needs review not has been reviewed) [combine with clean up edit and call _____]
  • Complete [the difference between complete and published is the visibility on the site!]
  • Published [this is live on the site and complete! we need a name for this too]
  • Failed to import [there would be no document to associate, no meta data to store, and therefore would not show up in our list!]
