Slack/Mattermost bridge does not start anymore after upgrading Mattermost to v6.2.1

We've been using Matterbridge to sync a specific channel on slack with our mattermost server. The channel names are identical on both servers, it worked flawlessly for almost three years. However, after upgrading Mattermost from 5.39 to 6.2.1 this stopped. We are using Matterbridge 1.23.2, when trying to start matterbridge we get this error:

Try rewriting your config without the samechannel config, that's not really supported anymore.
