In the Building a “Hello World” for self-driving labs: The Closed-loop Spectroscopy Lab Light-mixing demo the explaining images and text often very far away positioned from each other. This makes it hard to easily understand the instructions as a lot of scrolling is involved and it happened to me several times that I missed important instructions because I did not directly look at an image.
If it's not possible to edit the published version, I'd recommend to at least link a better structured pdf to the microcourse itself. It feels to me that this would simplify the first lesson significantly

Great point. I've been meaning to redo the first tutorial and have everything inline.

maybe, you could even embed the embed as a scrollable document into the readthedocs page. That way the user would not have to leave the page at all.
