# Case Study: Darwin - OLD {-}
## About {-}
The Darwin River Reservior (DRR) is in Australia's Northern Territory on the Darwin River. The dam can hold up to 259,000 megalitres of water and is the major source for the city of Darwin.
The reservoir is located approximately 50 km south of Darwin and was Completed in 1972. In response to the growing population and industrial activities of the area,
the spillway and reservoir wall were raised by 1.3 m in 2010 to increase the yield of the reservoir.
