Background information

For example, we have DAC cables that are expensive enough that we want to maintain them as an asset.
We would also like to maintain these as "Inventory Item Types", as this way we can always see how much we have.

Unfortunately, we can currently only assign the cable asset to one device, but there are two that have to do with it.
With servers and switches it is still possible to decide, but with patch panels and patch panels it becomes difficult.

Idea

With the three kinds (device, module, inventory item) there could also be cable, where you can still select an inventory item. Or you can activate a checkbox for the kind inventory item that it is a cable.
In both cases, it can now be recognized that you want to make the connection with a cable.

You could also simply add the checkbox to the "Group" or "Types" and thus recognize the dependency.
But I strongly assume that a new kind will be simpler here, which still uses the inventory item cell. In addition, special cases of the cables can also be taken into account more easily later.
