Hello,

Can you please say what are the username and password of the the pre-configured VM, which is available in the following link?
https://mega.co.nz/#!DU1wiaKb!TL46wmSnp1uwSRWBo8_tzhK02TYOw41hpef1aK_Kwqg

Also, I am wondering if ONOS can support this software switch? If so, can you please say which versions of ONOS support that? I have tried version 2.2.7-b1, but switches cannot route traffic although the flow rules have been installed using DPCTL. Also, flow rules are deleted shortly after installation.

I appreciate any help.
Thanks.

Hi,

These are the credentials.
user: oftutorial
pass: openlow

The VM is quite old, so you might want to update the code with git pull, then build and install the switch again.

I am not sure about the versions of ONOS that work with the switch, but if you create an application to use OpenFlow 1.3, it should work. In your case, could it be that ONOS is flushing the flows? The switch does not have such capability. Only an external controller can remove the rules.

Thanks for your response. my ONOS works with other switches, but when I use software switch, and check flows, I see that all of them are in state "Pending Add". It seems that my controller cannot connect with switches properly. Even when rules are installed with DPCTL, ping fails. I appreciate if you can help me.

Can you please tell me a bit more information?

  • Which application are you running?
  • What is the network topology?
  • What flows are you installing with dpctl?
