Currently, pressing up-arrow in the input box prepopulates the previous input: very useful feature, I use it often.
I'd like to propose an expansion upon this: (an option for) a floating popup attached above the input box showing a rolling list of previous user input, keyboard selectable directly from within the input box. Additional mouse-scrollability could also be useful, as well.
This could be opened via a modified shortcut, e.g. CTRL-up, opening the floating previous input popup attached above the input box, the user then able to (CTRL-) up-arrow into the list, which shows a rolling list of X previous inputs, either a statically set number or perhaps even user-configurable.
This would be useful to more easily and quickly be able to send a previous user input without having to guess how many inputs back it was sent, one at a time. Likewise, it'd be handy to get a quick glance of the past X inputs, even just for reference, not necessarily to resend a past input.
