The frontend should support choosing a specifically installed emulator in addition to supplying direct paths to whatever one you want.
For ones we know how to interact with (hopefully options like retroarch, bsnes, snes9x, etc), we should be able to further configure options.
All of this can then be saved into the settings file for persistence.
