Daniel, I want to thank you for the amazing tutorials. A few years back, I wanted to extend my Java programming to learn how to program the "laws of physics". In the process, I learned how to program in "Processing" (in Windows 10 Java), and pretty much went through all of the tutorials in "The Nature of Code". When I through "Box 2D", I realized I had a great idea for a game!
So, a few years back I took a year to create a Pong platform game (oh no, not another Pong game!), but this game is very unique. And it is non-violent, and for all ages. It has been tested successfully by my youngest grandchildren to oldest relatives and they love it!
So, I decided to try to port it to Android, and sell the game for 50 cents (hey, I'm not greedy!) in the Playstore. I used LibGDX, and the challenge became too great, especially when I couldn't get the audio to work. So, I got depressed for 6 months and put it down.
OK, I'm getting to the point now. My grandson Seth and his friend were coming over and they wanted to play the game on the big TV,so I cranked up the SteamLink and started the game in Java on my PC (Windows 10) along with OB studio so I could record it (also with a small digital audio recorder in the rec room to record the audio of us.
Now prior to this, I had made some private videos for YouTube just for relatives so that my idea wouldn't get stolen, but I'm 70 now and I would rather have people see what I created at this point.
So, on my YouTube channel, BruceAndBonita, is a 28 minute video of the game called "Seth vs JJ". It is being played in 2 player, but it can also be played as single player where you are playing against the castle. The name of my game is "Knights Rumblar", it has very simple rules, and you may enjoy the final score screen where all the blocks appear to be flocking (although it's not a flocking subroutine) around, and a player can hit the blocks around just for fun or to relieve frustrations after losing and before starting another game.
If you made it this far, I am amazed. If you are interested in seeing the program, let me know. Here are 2 screenshots of single player mode: IM20206112392819
I could easily make a single player mode video.
