slow closing of the left menu

hello I am thinking of buying the theme but I have 2 questions

1.will I have to pay a fee again when gentella is updated?
2.the left menu closes very fast, I want it to close by scrolling slowly, I will test it first and buy it if it is what I want, is this possible thanks
