[Question] The way to change settings is modifying the script itself?

I installed it from AUR. I was looking for a way to narrow the name column and widen the description column.

https://github.com/ConnerWill/yayfzf/wiki/Customization seems to be telling that modify the script itself to change settings. Did I understand it correctly? But if that's so, don't I lose the settings when you update yayfzf? Shouldn't there be a separate settings file?
