"is there a graph depicting to see how heterogeneity plays with outbreak size and duration over a bunch of different ranges of Beta? ie. a summary graph showing a range of different variances plotted against mean outbreak size and number of outbreaks>1 resulting from the tutorial app?"

Perhaps makes sense to add this as item to data-raw - do a bunch of simulations, calculate extinction prob, final size for non-extinction, etc. - store that in a data.table, present as plot in the tutorial, but also make it available for participants to explore however they like.
