Microsoft log - is it avaialble

Hello,
I'm considering switching from no-more-supported official Microsoft Teams client for Linux to this great project.
However, at the moment, I'm using Teams client log files to determine my in call / no call status ( ~/.config/Microsoft/Microsoft Teams - Insiders/logs.txt ).
Is it possible to somehow access these (or similar) logs using teams-for-linux? I was not able to locate any log file. I am not even sure if it is possible to get these level of logging: probably not, but maybe - by chance - anyone has any idea? Thank you!

I'm not sure, what your intention is, but you could run teams with Option
--appLogLevels error,warn,info,debug
and catch the output. There you find logs like at the start of a call:

[DEBUG] Power save is disabled using Electron API.
[DEBUG] User status changed to '5'

and at the end of an call:

[DEBUG] Power save is restored using Electron API
[DEBUG] User status changed to '1'

@jijojosephk I've built a custom solution to indicate my availability/busy status in the office: light bulb changing it's color to indicate if I'm free to talk or busy with meeting, phone call, DND mode etc. It works nice with official app. So, nothing really useful for the whole world I guess, but very useful for me ;-)

Thanks, to have it worked like with official one, what types of logs you expect? Also interested to know how did you do the custom solution, was it reading from the console or reading from file something like that ? or dbus involved?

Solution provided by @RolandRosenfeld seems to work (at least, until the Power save status really indicates in call/not in call, unfortunately I can't see "User status changed to " log message).
My solution is quite complex: WiFi smart-led integrated into my home assistant instance , custom home assistant entities for Teams status (and several other sensors, since Teams is just a little part of it). There is a background service (systemd user service) which parses the logs.txt file in a loop: once the status change is detected it updates the specific home assistant entities via https, then home assistant automations decide how to indicate my status.
So, the only critical part is to know if I'm in a call/online meeting, or not. I can just redirect the console output to some file and adjust my service to parse it correctly, unless the meaning of "power save" status is changed. Thank you for your hints!

Wow. That's super awesome! Power save is disabled/restored will only logged when meeting started/ended. So you can trust those entries now.

Hi, it seems, Power save is disabled/restored log entries have disappeared from the log files. I guess, as a result of switching to v2 teams (react version), since ipcMain.handle('call-connected', handleOnCallConnected); has no effect. I'm really not experienced with electron, so even does not know how to start investigating this issue...

Hi @muddy79 , unfortunately the incommingCallCommand is broken for teamsv2 #1195 . I am re-working lots of parts of the app as it is a bit "complex" at the moment, and starting to get difficult to maintain. Track that issue if you want to know once this is sorted again (hopefully someone can find a solution!)
