Option to not show tray icon

I want my applications to close when I click the × button and the tray icon is just confusing.

Describe the solution you'd like
A Settings dialog as requested in #462 should be available with and without the tray icon, and have an option to hide the tray icon.

When hidden, the application should close when the window is closed instead of running in the background.

I can ask my system to hide the tray icon, but that doesn’t allow me to close the application when pressing the ×

@flying-sheep you can start the application with the flag --closeAppOnCross. This will tell the app to close when user clicks on the close button on the window. Hope this helps.

You can have the settings stored in a file called config.json in the config folder of the app so you don't have to pass command line parameters.

}

Config location varies based on the packages you use.

flatpak:

~/.var/app/com.github.IsmaelMartinez.teams_for_linux/config/teams-for-linux

snap:

~/snap/teams-for-linux/current/.config/teams-for-linux

Other packages:

~/.config/teams-for-linux

I think you misunderstood: The “close app on ×” is only part of it (thanks for helping with that)

The title of this issue is “Option to not show tray icon”, which doesn’t seem to be supported yet.
