Please confirm the following:

  • I've checked the current issues for duplicate issues.
  • I've requested a single (only one) feature/change in this issue. It complies with the One Request Per GitHub Issue (ORPGI) rule.
  • My issue is well-defined and describes how it should be implemented from UI/UX perspective.

What do you want to be added or improved?

As a user I want to be added a reminder feature for data backup.

Why do you need it?

  • There is no auto backup feature in the app and i always forget to backup my data manually.

How do you imagine it?

I think adding an auto-backup would make much more sense. Ivy-wallet is not a reminder app. Adding reminder would deviate the app from its original purpose.

Auto-backup could be in a user-selected folder, done timely(daily, weekly, etc) or every time there's a change in the records. This would be super-helpful and ensure that people don't lose their data if something goes wrong.

Later, we can think about integrating backup solutions like DropBox, GoogleDrive and Nextcloud. But, for now, a user-selected folder should be a good start.
