A few months ago, I discovered a web API that allows you to synthesize audio via JavaScript, and it got me thinking of this crazy idea to try making a full-fledged, digital audio workstation with it. I originally wanted to make a self-contained website out of this idea, but I'm too pea-brained to work around browser restrictions. I'm now attempting to build a desktop application using Tauri.
Node Studio is a powerful, free, and fully open-source desktop music production app, designed to make music creation simple and intuitive.
The major goals of this project include:
- Extensive customization options (including themes and plugin support)
- Accessibility
- Reasonably simple design language
- Minimal creative limitations
