Setting preset mode

Hi, as I understand there are preset modes available, at least it is possible to switch them in UI component - like Eco or Heat modes, both with different pre-defined temperatures. But in developers tools I cannot really see how can I use them. Available preset_modes are reported as none, also current preset_mode is reported as none, even if Eco mode is the one really activated. How can I work with preset modes?

I am also interested in that. In the Generic thermostat I've usually had at least 4x preset modes - Comfort, Eco, Sleep, Away, and they were also used in my automations based on schedule helpers and trackers. Is it possible to have something like that on the Better Thermostat?
