There might be some instances where we can streamline code or use more efficient code to make the app run faster.

@DarrinWeber I cleaned up the duplicate webscraping code in branch "issue_20".

@mayafrederick Excellent. I've incorporated those changes. I'm going to leave this issue open as it will be one of the last things we do. A final run through of all of our code (a code audit if you will) to make sure we are consistent throughout.
