I tried out the email plugin test for sending an email (from one gmail account to another gmail account). Here is the error I received:

Command send_email returned: Error: [SSL: UNEXPECTED_EOF_WHILE_READING] EOF occurred in violation of protocol (_ssl.c:1007)

I had a similar problem. Sending fails and the message is saved in drafts
