If you want to create a fan chart but don’t want to enter your family information on FamilySearch, then you might like this.</p>\n<p>This chart shows the ancestors of a single person in your family tree. Both are free!</p>\n<p>Follow along to make your own.</p>\n<p>There are 2 parts to the Fan Chart Template. </p>\n<ol>\n<li>a Google Sheets Template where the family tree data is saved</li>\n<li>an Inkscape Scabalbe Vector Graphic (SVG) file.</li>\n</ol>\n<h3 id=\"1-get-a-copy-of-the-family-tree-fan-chart-google-sheets-template\">1. Get a Copy of the Family Tree Fan Chart Google Sheets template</h3>\n<p>Copy the <a href=\"https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1c7niicz6SytnLpoOyrmLOtaSqAg9d2UyZgxxzZUOX7M/copy\">Google sheet Photo Famly Tree with Fan Chart template</a> to  your Google Drive.   Use the “People” tab to enter you family tree information. Fill In the Fan Chart Sheet</h3>\n<p>Use Column A to select a Person. Create the Fan Chart Diagram in Inkscape</h3>\n<ul>\n<li><h4 id=\"download-inkscape\">Download Inkscape</h4>\n<p>Inkscape is a free drawing application.  <a href=\"https://inkscape.org/\">https://inkscape.org/</a>\nInstall and Open Inkscape</p>\n</li>\n<li><h4 id=\"download-the-inkscape-extension-nextgenerator\">Download the Inkscape Extension NextGenerator</h4>\n<p>The NextGenerator Extension will match the data from the CSV file to the Fan Chart template.\n<a href=\"https://inkscape.org/~Moini/%E2%98%85nextgenerator-replace-export\">NextGenerator Extension</a></p>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The extension will need to be saved to a folder named ‘User extensions’.
