Installation Guide

# Install Dependencies
apt-get install python-pip python2.7-dev gfortran libopenblas-dev liblapack-dev libpg-dev postgresql-9.3 postgresql-contrib-9.3
pip install numpy

# The following will make the graph tool known. Replace DISTRIBUTION with your distributions name, e.g. trusty.

# Setting up the Database

# Install the software
python setup.py sdist
cp sdnalytics.default.json /etc/sdnalytics/sdnalytics.json      # copy the default config
vim /etc/sdnalytics/sdnalytics.json                             # edit the config and adapt
sdn-ctl setup

Configuration

The file /etc/sdnalytics/sdnalytics.json contains the following important options:

  • connectionString: It has the form "postgresql://user:pass@host:port/database".
  • pollInterval: Gives the interval in seconds at which the observer gathers information from the controller.

Usage

Now that the application is installed and configured, there are two processes that can be used: sdn

Compatibility

Tested on Ubuntu 14.04. Does most likely work on other Linx systems. Does not work on Windows or Mac.
