Operating System

Windows

What's the issue you encountered?

When I open up a view of a section, that appears in a pop-up window which does not appear to be resizable. The window is too narrow to display the ASCII data column, and only tall enough to show 5 rows of pattern data. I'm going to suggest this is because of font scaling

How can the issue be reproduced?

  • Set a custom font with scaling at 20.
  • Add a section.
  • Open the section view window

The section view window is moveable, but not resizable or horizontally scrollable and the content does not fit.

This is a well known issue. Not just resizing window, sections are missing many of the features available in the main hex editor window. Things like values when hovering, exporting to json and many more. Somebody started a fork stating it would address this and other issues (like placing sections in tabs) but it looks like it never progressed from initial setup.
