According to the error message, open the__init__.pyfile in the root directory at line 319 Change bpy.context.window_manager.addon_support = {'OFFICIAL', 'COMMUNITY', 'TESTING'} to bpy.context.window_manager.addon_support = {'OFFICIAL', 'COMMUNITY'} can solve this problem.

Or you can directly replace the __init__.py recorded in the root directory with __init__.py uploaded by me. init.zip

The author actually used the same method to solve this problem in (19e3087) , but somehow no official version was released.

You SHOULD not be telling people to use the main branch with any blender version above 3.0 and the above method will not solve the 100s of issues the main branch will cause on anything above 3.0 (Especially with blender 4.0 and 4.1). MMD Tools is very out of date for a start, and several cats functions have not been updated for blender 4.1.

So please can we stop telling people to use the main branch on newer versions of blender. You either use the dev version for blender versions 3.1 to 3.6.x or if there not going to use 4.0/4.1 refer them to my post.

I also want to add, cats is abandoned, hence why there no official update. the community was maintaining the dev branch but even that has seemingly been abandoned. there are alternatives in my post.
