Enhancement: follow standard coding and organisation principles

The aim is to start creating a repo that can be re-used and referenced as an example repo.

Standard coding and organisation principles include:

• How to contribute guide
• Issue and Pull Request templates
• Release notes (somehow performed)
• Changelog (to add to the repo itself for access?)
• Security policy (to report security issues)
• Code of conduct (https://docs.github.com/en/communities/setting-up-your-project-for-healthy-contributions/adding-a-code-of-conduct-to-your-project)
• Add labels for issue management
• Add milestones for issue bundling
