I have added a description to wiki page, but then realized I should probably put bug report first and you decide if it's worth adding or there is better fix.

Windows version (build number):
22000.527

Linux distribution:
Ubuntu 21.04 - official canonical WSL image (not store)

Kernel version:
5.10.102.1-microsoft-standard-WSL2

Genie version:
genie 2.3

Describe the bug
Randomly both services fail:

Apr 06 20:21:13 flies-pc-wsl systemd[498898]: systemd-timedated.service: Failed to set up mount namespacing: /run/systemd/unit-root/: No such device
Apr 06 20:21:13 flies-pc-wsl systemd[498898]: systemd-timedated.service: Failed at step NAMESPACE spawning /lib/systemd/systemd-timedated: No such device

Confirm that you are running inside the bottle:
Yes, cause it's systemd service.

To Reproduce
Unsure - appears random.

Expected behavior
No errors in failed units?

Additional context
For now I have used masking of those services + timer. But maybe there is "proper" way of doing things?

I confirm that I have read the ENTIRE supplied readme file and checked for relevant information on the repository wiki before raising this issue, and that if the solution to this issue is found in either location, it will be closed without further comment:

  • Yes.

Thanks for the contribution to the wiki.

These are some very odd errors, as I can't think of a good reason for the namespace mount to fail. Can't repro yet.
