feature req: view mode with markdown disabled

I recently disabled markdown in settings because of formatting issues.
In text mode there is no view\edit just edit.
Page turning will not show the text in a .MD file but it still goes to the day (which scared me as I thought I lost all the info in the old entries)

When someone turns off "use markdown" in settings it should not change the view \edit function and it should show any entry when page turning .TXT or .md
