I'm sorry if this question is already answered or if it makes little sense, but at bitcoin.org they advise verifying the signatures of each release. How can I verify the pgp signatures of this bitcoin-core snap?

I don't think there is a way to verify the snaps. If you want to be able to verify the binaries, you need to use the binaries from the website. IIRC, when installing something from the snap store, snap itself will verify some signature that the snap store generates, but the binaries themselves are put into a squashfs so are not readily accessible to be verified.
