💡 full manual installation without use of Docker

That would be really nice if the process of manually installing apprise-api could be fully documented. Even nicer would be a process leveraging OS packages instead of pip.

I’m running FreeBSD, but a documentation dealing with a linux install is enough.

I second that. I am actually moving away from docker and into LXCs as I find them easier to manage, backup, restore and on top faster and less storage and memory hungry. docker is just easier to set up, agree. But with a nice automated install script... that would be equally easy.
I typically derive my LXC install routines from the dockerfile. But that always needs some trial and error.
Happy to contribute / write script. At least for Ubuntu 22/24.

Traveling for work right now. I'll try to improve document for self hosted without docker in a couple of weeks when I'm back.
