Sometimes when reaching towards the end of a partition with 'w' while reviewing, the active node jumps to a few nodes earlier; perhaps to the (prior) child node. Subsequent 'w' pushes traverses again towards the node that will make it jump again to the same prior child node.

I am reviewing with "virtual node step: 3".
