In the Keptn project we have been defining events for sequence and task execution, mostly around delivery, testing, and evaluation (quality gates) of artifacts.
We are looking forward to an interoperable format of events. As a starting point, we aim to align the events defined in the CDF with Keptn events.
Our current work document can be found here (@johannes-b and myself are currently working on this): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RSCeQli1vgc1Vmlo66195oXfinDJ9fO2_yWyqJacD4U/edit#
Please note this is a work in progress and not yet finished by the Keptn team. However, we already wanted to share our progress.
In the current status, we have already compared the event types between CDF and Keptn.
What is still missing is to compare the payload of the events.
Once we have finished this "homework" on our end, we would like to trigger the discussion on how the events could be aligned. As you can see in the doc, we've already identified some events that are not matching 1:1 as they are missing in either of the two event specifications.
