Funding for a Mac release [$2000 of $2,000] #208
Comments
Hi @cztomczak , I'd be quite interested in meeting some or all of that bounty. Would/Could It also work for Linux? I have no knowledge of C, but lots of PHP and DevOps so can help if you have tasks. I also have a buddy who does C and PHP and could maybe help, but I can meet the bounty. Thanks, Dave |
@phpengine Linux port is a separate task, the issue for Linux is #77. I haven't created a bounty for Linux port, but if you're interested I can do so. Porting to Mac and Linux both require substantial amount of new code and testing, so these are separate tasks. Update: Created Issue #221 ("Funding for a Linux release"). |
I have updated the issue explaining that you can make up for the goal using both Bountysource and Paypal platforms. |
Hey @cztomczak , I added $400 a couple of days ago, and as an FYI i intend to complete the rest of it this month, if that's okay and you'll be available. Thanks, phpengine |
@phpengine Thank you for the continued support for the project, it's appreciated. I have updated issue title and README with the current status of the funding. Yes, I'm available for work and I can work on it when it's funded. |
Funding is completed as of July 15th, 2022. Work on the new release for Mac is starting soon.
This funding is for those interested in sponsoring an initial release for Mac. Similarly to the Linux release, the Mac release will have most essential functionality with most common options in settings.json file being supported. With time more features will be added and for now let's focus on making it work on Mac.
For comparison see the initial Linux release v72.1 which was funded via Issue #221. Most essential functionality was implemented with a total of twenty four options in settings.json being supported. You can expect similar features support in a Mac release.
Funding is carried out using Bountysource and Paypal platforms. Multiple people can post bounties and donations using both platforms and make up for the goal.
Option 1 - Paypal
You can make a Paypal donation using the Paypal button on the project's main page. When doing so please make a comment that this donation is for the new Mac release.
Option 2 - Bountysource
