Maybe a good idea to post this as well? You can (always) perform a zero token transfer (even from another account) because the allowance or your balance is always >= 0.
There is no implicit denial for zero token transfers. This can possibly be an issue, but as it's not specifically disallowed in the ERC-20 standard, I don't know if it belongs here.
