How to use additional Python modules in processors?

I can't get a processor working that imports a third party Python module (germansentiment). I added a line for the module to the setup.py in the root folder ("germansentiment",) and rebuild the backend image (I'm using docker). The package works fine inside the backend container and shows up in an example processor using the pkgutil.iter_modules function. But if I try to import the module using from germansentiment import SentimentModel, the processor does not show anymore on the frontend. What am I doing wrong? I can't find any error message, at least not on the frontend or docker logs.

Okay, looking again at it, the problem might have been that I didn't change the frontend image to the rebuild one. Investigating that.

Yes, this was the problem. Works fine now.

Still, would be nice to get an error for stuff like this. Maybe I am missing some logs?

A message is printed to stderr if a processor or worker cannot be loaded because of an import error. This is not sent to the 4CAT log files because the log handler is not yet available at the time the workers are loaded. We'll look into whether it's possible to send the messages to the log file somehow anyway, thanks for the suggestion.
