We are excited to invite you to an hour-long online Machine Learning workshop on October 10, at 11 AM EDT (GMT-4)

Post-Event: Recording, Resources, Notes

We will discuss some foundational research underpinning the approach and give a tutorial to start to get your hands dirty with deep learning tools to decode animal communication. We’ll cover the challenges and solutions of representing audio for neural processing and build up to our early work on the Cocktail Party Problem. 

The workshop is hosted by Interspecies.io, a multidisciplinary group founded by:

• Peter Gabriel, musician and activist
• Dr. Vint Cerf, Vice President at Google and Co-designer of the Internet
• Dr. Diana Reiss, Professor at Hunter College, a cognitive psychologist, and marine mammal scientist
• Dr. Neil Gershenfeld, head of MIT’s Center for Bits and Atoms
