You don't need the d3d12.dll stub. You only need one stub from the stub folder. It does not even have to be d3d9.dll. It depends on what dlls the game supports. Keep in mind that ForceDirect3D9On12 can also work with
It depends on the hardware and the games. If your hardware is optimized for Direct3D12 you could see some improvement in performance. But it could also slow things down. Your mileage may vary.
No. That feature is typically referred to as SSAA or DSR. I am not really focused on adding features like that. I mainly focus on getting the games to work as they were originally intended to work. Most of the features I added were required by some game to achieve basic compatibility. If you are using an Nvidia you could try enabling it in Nvidia. Ok thats where i get confused, at the end should MSI afterburner report DX12 or should it still say DX9? Because im playing damnation which is a dx9 game and i cant get d3d9on12 working. It might be working but i have no clue because msi afterburner still says its running in dx9 mode. is there no way to confirm forced3d12on9 is actually working, thats all i want to know. Because ive never gotten it to work ive tried like a dozen or so games (directX9 games only) i want to get DX9 games to say DX12 in the corner with msi afterburner but i cant! i have 12700k + RTX3070 + 1tb NVME + 32gb ram |

Not sure. Send me the dxwrapper log and I will take a look at it and see if it worked. |

Yes, the logs show that you were using D3D9On12. See here:
AND
Everything looks normal from the log. It would appear that MSI afterburner does not detect this rightly running under Direct3D12. |

Thank you!!! You are so awesome and helpful! I had a feeling it was working because the performance felt very good! |

For this option, the description states it must be enabled in conjunction with enableD3d9wrapper=1
My question is, do i need BOTH d3d9.dll and d3d12.dll from the stub folder in order to use this feature? Or just d3d9.dll
There have been times where its felt like its on, but MSI afterburner still reports the game running as DX9
Would i be able to enjoy a performance increase if i got this working? Kind of like an alternative to using DXVK?
DXWRAPPER is incredible, i used to use specialK tool and dxvk tool religiously. Now i use neither. I use DXWRAPPER for every game now. It improves performance and compatibility in almost every single game ive ever tried it with. It literally fixes performance and bugs.. I cant say enough good things about dxwrapper. Dxwrapper allowed me to see boiling point in an actual correct window mode size (because the game by default had an incorrect window size when in windowed mode it was rectangle when it shoulda been square) So in a way im the first person EVER to see the game as it was meant to be seen (if you are curious what im talking about you can search my youtube randalmcdaniel boiling point its the most underrated game of all time its basically stalker 1 with helicopters, boats, quads, jetskiis)
Is there a way to run a game in like 1920x1080 but inside a tiny 1024x768 window?? SOme bug happened once where i got to play at 1920x1080 inside a tiny window and it looked really really awesome. Im trying to do it again but on purpose this time!
