Possible to add a fps unlocker to dxwrapper in future? #270

Thank you for the kind words about dxwrapper. As far as adding a feature to remove the 30fps cap, I don't think that can be done in dxwrapper. I am trying to make dxwrapper a generic tool. However, removing an fps cap typically requires a custom mod (i.e. code) for each game. I really don't want to get into that now. Note: there is a feature in dxwrapper to disable vsync, which can cap the fps on some games. It probably won't work for most 30fps games though, since most monitors don't have 30fps support. Most of the time 30fps cap is done by the game code. |

ohh that makes so much sense. So its the game code and not anything related to directX. Got it. Thank you!! its funny going to all these old games, seeing all the HELL gamers are experiencing trying to get the game to run in a window or mouse not working something.. using hex editors to get it working and stuff.. Meanwhile i come along and get it running in 30 seconds with dxwrapper LOL. Ive literally fixxed games people thought were impossible to fix. Dxwrappers "handleexceptions" and "singleprocaffinity" feature allows PC gamers to enter the video options menu of "Alone in the dark 2008" for the first time ever.. Nobody has ever been able to fix that! So cool. i see no reason to use specialK tool anymore, even dxwrappers fps limiter is just as good if not better, its just as good as rivatuners. If you check out my youtube channel randalmcdaniel, every video i uploaded in the last year uses dxwrapper (except in very rare instances like conflict vietnam, which actually does work with dxwrapper, but upon exiting the game, it breaks my mouses RMB until i reboot PC.. very strange) whereas specialK tool did not suffer the same issue sorry im typing so much. But theres somethign i would like to bring to your attention. Something that is DEFINATELY a fault of windows itself. A long time ago i used a program called "Borderless gaming" but i stopped using it because it introduced strange lines into the picture. At first it looks like screen tearing as if vsync is off. But its not that... its something different. It happens with reshades new "forcewindowedmode=1" as well..You basically need a magnifying glass to see what i am talking about. Its like scanlines in the shape of a box that slightly mutates the graphics of the game. Almost as if the textures are moving like you are playing a really old game like kingpin or something..I just assumed "Borderless gaming" was to blame. However i am able to reproduce this issue using dxwrapper. If a game is set to fullscreen mode in the video options, but dxwrapper is set to windowed mode, you get a GORGEOUS borderless window and its almost perfect. However in this mode you can see weird screentear lines if you look extremely closely... It does not occur in windowed games that have a border. I prefer no border but the microscopic sync lines are distracting Maybe im doing something wrong but the dxwrapper option called "Windowmodeborder = 1" does not seem to do anything for me |

Would this be possible?
DSFIX was able to remove the 30fps cap from dark souls 1. Could such a feature be added to dxwrapper as well?
There are a few games in my life which i cant enjoy because they are 30fps capped :(
-gun metal
-viking battle for asgard
-divinity 2 (actually this was fixxed recently by a user patch so nevermind)
If this was easy im sure it would have been done already, somewhere, which i have never seen :( oh well i guess its still worth bringing up to smart people who know more than i do.
DXwrapper is LIFE, ive probably fixed like 50 games with it. I use dxwrapper for performance and reshade for ambient occlusion and its very awesome
