NOTE: If you are interested for the Terminal version source code, it is in the
Terminalbranch. Else, if you looking for the GUI version source code (more up to date), it is in theGUIbranch.
The pic2ascii program (mostly writen in Python 3) takes any image and converts it in to text characters using the ascii system (working on unicode). Right now we are still in development, but we got most of the low level stuff down. We even added etxra things like multiprocessing into the GUI version. We are curently working on features that are important for the GUI to comunicate with the engine (core) of the program.
The Terminal edition is done (the beta anyway), so we recomend you use that for now. However you can still use the GUI version if you prefer it over the Terminal as it has more features (like multiprocessing) than the terminal version.
