Lint specific portion of the doc

Hi,
Is it possible to apply a rule to specific sections of the doc? For example, I have a rule that flags imperative verbs. I want this rule to be run only on a procedure and not on paragraphs. A procedure is usually an ordered list or in DITA it is within the <steps> tag.

It looks like scoping could be the answer to my query. Can somebody confirm?
Also, is it fine to specify multiple tags in the scope. For example, in DITA a procedure is within the steps tag and in HTML it's in the ol tag.

Yes, you can specify multiple scopes but they have to be one of the supported values.
