How to extend/override inherited rules

In the config, I have:

Packages = Google
BasedOnStyles = Vale, Custom, Google

and I want to override some rules. For example, I don't want the entry: Cloud: Google Cloud Platform|GCP in Google.WordList. Or I want to add words to the list that are in the online style guide, but not in the rules? I could add these words to Custom.WordList, but I'd rather keep the custom rules for stuff, that's not in the Google Style Guide.

Is this possible? Currently, I modify the YML files directly, which makes it more difficult to keep the Vale rules up-to-date.

If you want to remove an entry, you can override it by adding it to a vocabulary.

If there are words missing from the actual guide you'd like to add, I'd be happy to accept a PR.
