Vale is pretty cool, and an often overlooked aspect of systems engineering and user experience. Glad this exists ! I was wondering if we could use other spelling dictionaries ? https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=streetsidesoftware.code-spell-checker has links to all the language and also specialised dictionaries like Medical and Scientific. VSCode seems to use cspell under the hood. Could we use them in some way ? I think the base spelling system is using hunspell ? |

@gedw99 The way it currently works is that you pass dictionaries via a spelling rule - https://vale.sh/docs/topics/styles/#spelling This offers flexibility without loading the plugin with dependencies. VS Code doesn't have a spell checker built in, but there are extensions you're right, and the latest version of the Vale VS Code extension supports the method above via hunspell. |
