More information

Please add support for the Tamil calendar and/or the Hindu calendar, as this would significantly simplify the definitions for many holidays, e.g.

I did not take a deeper look, but maybe https://github.com/MenoData/Time4J is something for us until java will provide, I have no idea if they ever will, a tamil or hindu calendar

We cannot use it because of licence conflicts. Apache2 is not compatible with the LGPLv2.1, see https://www.apache.org/legal/resolved.html#category-x

Ah, you're right. That is unfortunate. The activity in the project hasn't been very good either, though.
