Nice idea. I'm actually very intrigued by Zig, and this might make a nice project to do in it. |

(For the record, the D version, dcell, I wrote in order to learn D, as that's what we use at my day job.) |

I'm happy that you're positive about it as well. Let's see what the future brings. I could think of some terminal applications in the audio domain and then Zig will be a better fit, given that most proaudio libraries are in C and Go isn't perfectly suited for proaudio while it uses a garbage collector and it has some other architectural characteristics which are less optimal for it. It will probably work, but Zig will be a safer bet most likely. |

I'm taking this out of tcells issues and into a discussion. I'd love to do this work. It would be a great opportunity to learn Zig. I don't know when or even if I'll have time. |

Tcell is great, Go is great ... Zig looks great as well and it is compatible with C libraries (Go not so much). https://ziglang.org/
I once saw a mention of a tcell version for D. Zig would probably be a nice candidate as well (in the future).
I thought, better to mention this in time ;)
Feel free to close this issue.
