  • The analytic solution does not state that it is for a down-going wave. Unless specified, the solution has both up-going and down-going waves. This could be confusing.
  • The setup image (generated by plotObj3D) has a downward propagating wave with Ex and Hy positive. When I saw this, I thought everything was left-handed at first. Do we want to put the Hy arrow in the opposite direction?

PlanewaveWidget:

  • When looking at real and imaginary components of Ex and Hy in EM data at Rx hole, values never crossed the 0 axis. I think that both Re and Im are only plotting the amplitude right now.
  • Also, I don’t think the phase data are being plotted, just the amplitude.
  • Since this is visualized in "interactive plane profile", were you planning on removing this plot?

Interactive Plane Profile

  • Could the zero crossing be the same for both Re and Im, and also be labelled? I see no problem with having different scales for the Re and Im components though.

Polarization Ellipse

  • The polarization ellipse could be discussed when we talk about phase. The angle of the major axis tells us the phase relationship between Ex and Hy.
