Current status of MMM data in ResearchSpace

Background technology

ResearchSpace (templates populated by SPARQL), OxLOD (previous deployment), Blazegraph, Linked data (RDF, SPARQL), CIDOC CRM

Current status

1. ResearchSpace is installed on a virtual machine at:

   http://vm-seldon.oerc.ox.ac.uk:10214/

2. The ResearchSpace software and data was a copy of the OXLOD system installed at:

   https://antheia-researchspace.oerc.ox.ac.uk/

   (Except that there is no invervening proxy server configured.)

3. MMM data has been loaded into a BlazeGraph "namespace" named 'mmm', and this is configured as the default for ResearchSpace.

4. Selected templates have been edited and/or added to explore use of ResearchSpace as an alternative UI for viewing MMM data:

   • Person display includes works authored, and links to "who collects" copies of works authored; e.g.

   • "Who collects" page added that lists collectors of an author, and links to list of manuscripts by that author in their collection; e.g.

   • "Manuscripts in collection" page added that lists manuscripts containing works by an author in the collection of a speciified owner; e.g.

   Thse are intended to illustrate an idea of refining a search by following links.

5. I attempted, but so far failed, to modify the OXLOD search page to present a list of people.

   • Gave up trying to use the existing search page. Created semantic table pages for people and works. Seems OK.

6. For the future: introduce a notion of local worksets that carry the context of an investigation, to facilitate composition of diufferent types of query. There is an anlysis of the proposed research questionbs that attempts to identify the individual query elements that might be composed by such a mechanism:
