⚠️ This issue respects the following points: ⚠️

  • This is a enhancement/feature request. Not a bug or question.
  • The topic is not already reported at Issues. (I've searched it).
  • Markor is up to date. See Releases for the latest version. Updates are available from F-Droid and GitHub.
  • The wanted feature/enhancement is not present in the latest development version (git master). (Please download and try the test version of Markor, named Marder. Don't worry; Markor and Marder appear as completely separate applications. You can install both side-by-side, and Markor's settings are not touched. If your desired feature is present, you don't need to open this issue. The change will be part of the next Markor update.)

Description

Please add the option to enter API let for Gemini and ChatGPT and in settings to customize few most common prompts, then in editing after option to open those prompts. Once text arrives, to have it in separate widget with button to decide if too replace text, add it, or copy it.

It would be useful to think about how we can improve sharing of text from markor to and from other apps in general.

Ideas for interesting workflows will be nice. I have some free time coming up next month :)

I have about another week of relative free time :)

If you have a workflow in mind, now is the time to comment here.

I am not using those proprietary server services any more, but localhost MIT/Apache 2.0 licensed LLMs, and it is very useful to format text, enhance, there is Mistral model and others.

Thanks for your interest!

From my view only viable options are some builtin small/lightweight model (pretrained file) based logic, or something that works on Android Intent/textselection basis.
Something with API keys and manual network connections is not the way want to go for Markor. There are enough dedicated own apps/tools for that.

It can run on any server, not on Android only, and size doesn't matter. Okay I got you. Never mind.

Can such a workflow be improved from Markor's side?
