Hotjar Event is a Tag Template for Google Tag Manager (Web). This is an unofficial Template for Hotjar Events, and not made by Hotjar. Hotjar do not provide any support for this Template.
This Template is available in the Google Tag Manager Template Gallery.
Add a Event Name and a GTM Trigger to the Tag.
The Event Name must not exceed 750 characters, and can only contain alphanumeric characters (a-z, A-Z, 0-9), underscores (_), and dashes (-).
If you are going to combine Events with Hotar User Attribute-based targeting for Surveys or Incoming Feedback, you should ensure that the Attributes happens before the Event.
If the Event is triggered before User Attributes has finished execution, the Survey/Incoming Feedback will not show.
Hotjar is informed about this Template, but as mentioned, Hotjar do not provide any support in using this Template. Permission to use the Hotjar logo in the Template have been granted from Hotjar.
