From fc2e0bb2c204b9a511e6dcf80175e090c3be6ac0 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Tomas Langer Date: Wed, 21 Aug 2024 10:30:14 +0200 Subject: [PATCH] 4.x: Udpates to types and annotation processing (#9168) * APT codegen - removing public methods from package private class - deprecating all public types, as these should not be used outside of this module (only the processor is public, as it is a ServiceLoader provider implmentation) - caching TypeInfo within a single annotation processing round - now handles all processed types, to be able to trigger based on "meta" annotations Class model: Bugfix in class model, where content support used deprecated (and failing) method. Added support for volatile fields Types: Updated with latest behavior of builder (mutated lists) * Fix metadata codegen, to only store the file if there are modules available (i.e. never store empty array). --- .../codegen/apt/AptAnnotationFactory.java | 30 +- .../io/helidon/codegen/apt/AptContext.java | 16 + .../helidon/codegen/apt/AptContextImpl.java | 46 +- .../io/helidon/codegen/apt/AptProcessor.java | 125 +++++- .../helidon/codegen/apt/AptTypeFactory.java | 15 + .../codegen/apt/AptTypeInfoFactory.java | 74 +++- .../codegen/classmodel/ContentSupport.java | 2 +- .../io/helidon/codegen/classmodel/Field.java | 17 + .../main/java/io/helidon/codegen/Codegen.java | 35 +- .../java/io/helidon/codegen/RoundContext.java | 3 +- .../io/helidon/codegen/RoundContextImpl.java | 10 +- .../io/helidon/codegen/TypeHierarchy.java | 412 ++++++++++++++++++ .../io/helidon/common/types/Annotated.java | 9 +- .../io/helidon/common/types/Annotation.java | 4 +- .../io/helidon/common/types/TypeName.java | 52 ++- .../ConfigMetadataCodegenExtension.java | 4 + .../processor/ConfigMetadataHandler.java | 5 +- 17 files changed, 742 insertions(+), 117 deletions(-) create mode 100644 codegen/codegen/src/main/java/io/helidon/codegen/TypeHierarchy.java diff --git a/codegen/apt/src/main/java/io/helidon/codegen/apt/AptAnnotationFactory.java b/codegen/apt/src/main/java/io/helidon/codegen/apt/AptAnnotationFactory.java index 42f0e363f7b..45d998f2bc6 100644 --- a/codegen/apt/src/main/java/io/helidon/codegen/apt/AptAnnotationFactory.java +++ b/codegen/apt/src/main/java/io/helidon/codegen/apt/AptAnnotationFactory.java @@ -17,15 +17,10 @@ package io.helidon.codegen.apt;
