Thumbnail Cache seems to not work properly in tabs

I really love this plugin as it organizes my desktop nicely.

I am working with lots of image and video material.

When opening multiple folders it seems to forget the cached thumbnails when I change tabs.
If there are a hundred video clips in the folder it takes forever to show the tab.

Closing and opening a normal explorer window does not show this behaviour.

Is there anything to change this behaviour,
or do I have to give up on the tabs, because windows thumbnail caching system cannot be used with the plugin?
