Help me choose correct installation for my case. Home Assistant in Podman + HmIP-HAP

Hi, i have some questions regarding proper architecture for my case, I have homematic ip bundle with multiple heating thermostats+ room thermostats with HmIP-HAP. I Have Home assistant installation in podman on my Fedora server. Now i want to integrate my homematic installation in homeassistant+buy a couple of smart outlets, because homematic uses it's own radio channel.

Because cloud homeassistant integration has a critical limitation i decided to opt-out for Raspberry Matic, but most of documentation in German, so i have a couple of questions:

1. Did i understood correctly that connection with only HmIP-HAP is not possible? i need HmIP-RFUSB or something like that?
2. If that's the case, would it make sense to use USB stick only, and remove HmIP-HAP entirely?
3. Because i use rootles podman mostly, it has a lot of differences from usual docker installations, mostly selinux and networking, would it make sense for me to use Homeassistant add-on instead of container installation, because it's already configured?
