Is it possible to set a group <g> container for the exported svg?

Is there a way to set a global group container for exports?
example:

<svg>
  <g>
    <circle cx="50" cy="50" r="40" fill="red" />
    <rect x="100" y="10" width="80" height="80" fill="blue" />
  </g>
</svg>

I have added this group using Batik after jfree svg creation. So no problem.

it would be useful though if we could have an option to "group" with a container from the very beginning every jfree export.
